Janesville Little Theatre – 98th Season
Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward

Audition Dates: Wednesday August 19th and Thursday August 20th at 6:00 pm
Production Dates: November 6th-15th
Location: Janesville Little Theatre Workshop
906 W Racine Street, Janesville, WI (please park in the back parking lot, and enter through the back door)
Charles is a murder mystery author who hires a spiritual medium that he believes is a fake in order to study her for his upcoming book. He gets more than he bargained for when she accidentally summons the scariest ghost of them all- the ghost of his ex-wife!
No preparation is required- the audition will be cold readings from the script. All experience levels are welcome!

- Character Breakdown (Ages are flexible, all roles are open)-
- Charles Condomine- An author, and a skeptic (Age 30-55)
- Ruth Condomine- Charles’ loving wife (Age 30-55)
- Edith- An enthusiastic, clumsy young maid (Age 18-30)
- Dr. Bradman- Friend of the Condomine’s, also a skeptic (30+)
- Mrs. Bradman- Dr. Bradman’s fun loving wife (30+)
- Madame Arcati- An eccentric, enthusiastic spiritual medium (40+)
- Elvira- Charles’ quick witted, sly, petulant, deceased wife (25+)

- No Preparation Needed: You don't need to prepare a reading in advance. Auditions consist of reading from the script and interacting with other actors who are also auditioning.
- Versatility Matters: You may be asked to read for multiple roles during the audition.
